He was predeceased by: his parents, Avery Morgan and Genell Parks Morgan; and his son Roger Grant Morgan. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Beasley Morgan; his children, Pam Fortner (Boyce) and Doug Morgan (Teresa); his siblings, Judy M. Brigman, Bruce Morgan (Margaret) and Clyde Morgan (Pat); and his daughter-in-law Christine Morgan. He is also survived by three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
