It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Johnson (Banner Elk, North Carolina), who passed away on May 28, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Townsend and Alice Beard Townsend; her husband Henry Johnson; and her siblings, Byrle Townsend and Clara Green.
She is survived by: her son Henry Lynn Johnson; and her siblings, Willa Mae Parker of Gibsonville, Phyllis Sandy of Burlington, Ricky Townsend of Ramseur, Charles Townsend of Newland and Landon Townsend of Spruce Pine.
