He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Cook and Maxine Shumate Kincade. He is survived by: his daughters, Jackie (Bill Mock) of Advance and Genia; his wife Velva M. Cook of Banner Elk; his daughter Eugenia Cook of Jonas Ridge; his grandchildren, Michael (Christie Mock) of Stoney Point, Bradley (Rachel Mock) of Advance and Amanda Mock-Rutledge (Neil Rutledge) of Advance; his great grandchildren, Austin, Payton, Aiden Mock and Bryn Mock; his brother David (Sharon Cook) of Charlotte; and his half-siblings, Pat (John Greene) of Key Rock, Jean (Jamie Oliver) of Key Rock and Frosty Hawks of Rock Hill.
