He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Bertrand "Buck" Wilhite, Sr. and Laura Rogers Wilhite; and his siblings, Nancy Jane Wilhite and James Lee Wilhite. He is survived by: his wife Sally Keeter Wilhite; his sons, Melvin Bertrand Wilhite, III of Knoxville, TN, Mark Edgar Wilhite (Robin) of Maryville, TN and Jeffrey Bruce Wilhite (Dawn) of Rocky Face, GA; his brother William Bruce Wilhite of Knoxville, TN; his grandchildren, Bay Lee Wilhite (Brett), Brooke Elizabeth Dominguez (Tristan), Avery Rose Wilhite, Landon Reece Wilhite (Jordan) and Christopher Castillo; and his great grandchildren, Vivian Lee Dominguez, Veronica Mae Dominguez, Brinn Lee Stepanski and Tate Barrett Wilhite.
