Margaret Maxine Rupard Townsend Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Maxine Rupard Townsend of Banner Elk, North Carolina, who passed away on March 11, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Robert and Rilla Shook Rupard (Dayton Townsend); her son-in-law Craig Trivett; her grandson Jody Puckett; and her sisters, Edna Norwood, Snow Presswood and Agnes Lowe.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Shoupe (Bill) of Rogersville, TN, Debbie Puckett (Richard), Donna Trivett and Terry Townsend (Gail) of Banner Elk; and her brothers, Tate Rupard, Mack Rupard, Gene Rupard and Clay Rupard.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel (683 Blowing Rock Rd, Boone, NC 28607). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
