With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mabel Shook of Banner Elk, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Jones and June Jones; her husband William Bradley Shook; her grandchildren, Christopher Williams and Miranda Shook Stidham; her siblings, Orville, Rex, Clyde Lee, Paul, Vance, Ford Jones, Verna Grace, Lucille Jones, Faye Bradshaw and Myrtle Gobble; and her sons-in-law, Dennis Williams and Kenneth Church.
She is survived by: her children, Lynn Shook (Barbara) of Cleveland, Glenn Shook of Newland, Ruthetta Williams of Lenoir, Verna Church of Morganton, Phil Shook (Elaine) of Morganton and Felicia Ruppard (Robert) of Banner Elk; and her niece Felicia. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, forty two great-grandchildren, and 23 great-great-grandchildren as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews.
