It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julia Ellen McGrew (Banner Elk, North Carolina), who passed away on February 29, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edd Presnell and Nettie Hicks Presnell; and her siblings, Lucille McGrew and Baxter Presnell. She is survived by: her husband Billy Wayne McGrew; her daughters, Billie Proctor (Ed) of Tarboro, Melinda Whitmire (Scott) of Easley, S. C., Reita Pearson (Johnny) of Banner Elk and Susie Hepler (Raymond) of Lexington, N. C.; her grandsons, Aaron (Cameron Effoe), Silas (Joanna Whitmire), Calvin (Ellie Hepler) and Noah Pearson of Banner Elk; her sister Marthana Ward of Banner Elk; and her niece Deanne Atwood (Kevin).
