He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Sidney Smith and Kitty Elouise Smith; and his brother Roy Wayne Smith of Banner Elk. He is survived by: his fiancée Glenda Shook; his son Nathan Elliott (Angela); his sister Nancy Ramsey of Hudson, NC.; his granddaughter Millie Ann Elliott of Zionville; his niece Lou Anne (Neil Annas); and his nephew Jake (Robin Ramsey). He is also survived by many close friends' and cousins.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Medi-Home Hospice of Avery County.
