It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence Simpkins Davis of Banner Elk, North Carolina, who passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Howard Simpkins and Nancy Peacock Chesson Simpkins; her in-laws, Margie and Glen Davis of Plymouth, NC; her sister Luree; and her brothers-in-law, Paul Harrison of Greenville, NC and Andy Howell of Sanford, NC..
She is survived by: her daughter Nancy; her son-in-law Whit Massey of Boone; her son Will Davis; her daughter-in-law Meghan; her granddaughters, Waverly of Boone, Evie of Boone and Rosie Davis of Boone; her sisters, Marge Howell of Sanford and Linda; her brother-in-law Gene Hassell of Columbia, NC; her sister Kim; her brother-in-law Dean Sisson of Lynchburg; her nieces and nephews, Brooke Jones (Andy) of Bulls Bay, NC, Emily Howell of Washington, DC, Bryan Hudson (Alison) of Raleigh, NC, Ben Howell (Christian) of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Christopher Hudson (Cherie) of Raleigh, NC and Marshall Sisson of Fort Lauderdale, Fla; and her pets, Rose, Louie and Beau.
