It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence Simpkins Davis of Banner Elk, North Carolina, who passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Howard Simpkins and Nancy Peacock Chesson Simpkins; her in-laws, Margie and Glen Davis of Plymouth, NC; her sister Luree; and her brothers-in-law, Paul Harrison of Greenville, NC and Andy Howell of Sanford, NC..
She is survived by: her husband Glen Davis; her daughter Nancy; her son-in-law Whit Massey of Boone; her son Will Davis; her daughter-in-law Meghan; her granddaughters, Waverly of Boone, Evie of Boone and Rosie Davis of Boone; her sister Marge Howell of Sanford; her grandchild Raleigh; her sister Linda; her brother-in-law Gene Hassell of Columbia, NC; her sister Kim; her brother-in-law Dean Sisson of Lynchburg; and her pets, Rose, Louie and Beau. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
