We are sad to announce that on December 1, 2024, at the age of 76, Dennis Ray Horney of Banner Elk, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Horney and Annie Harmon Horney; his former wife Carolyn Elaine Horney; and his siblings, Lucille Smith, Wilma Blankenship, Mary Buchanan, John Horney and Joe Horney.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Clawson Horney; his sons, Randy Horney (Judy) of Banner Elk, NC and Danny Horney (Jessica) of Banner Elk, NC; his siblings, Dallas Horney (Kitty) of Banner Elk, NC, Jimmy Horney (Kathy) of Banner Elk, NC, Hazel Douthat (David) of Greeneville, TN and Gladys Farmer of Banner Elk, NC; and his grandchildren, Matthew, Heather, Luke, Chelsea and Dakota. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
