She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy James "RJ" Aldridge and Gladys Eliza Taylor Aldridge; her husband Doc Carson Byrd; her son-in-law Randy Aldridge; and her siblings, Verlene Roark, Blanch Byrd, Mary Wilcox, Prince Aldridge, Carmalee Ellis, Stuart, Lon, Marl, Clell, Marsh and Jim Aldridge.
She is survived by: her daughters, Margie Aldridge of Boone, Audrey Chambers (Earl) of Banner Elk and Jane Ashley (Thomas) of Fleetwood; her grandchildren, Cristie Dollar of Boone, Amy Wheeler of Chesapeake Virginia and Greg Parsons (Kristina) of Vilas; her siblings, Jean Gragg (Bob) of Lenoir and Wade Aldridge; her great grandchildren, Charity Dollar, Valerie Dollar, Logan Smith (Autumn), Kyle Parson (Harley), John Ross Parsons, Taylor Guy, Lucas Wheeler Joshua Wheeler (Katie), Samuel Wheeler, Carson Farley, Lilly Farley, Calla Jane Farley and Greyson Farley; her great great grandchildren, Liam Stapleton, Finn Wheeler, Annabelle Wheeler and Allie Wheeler; and also John Elledge. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
