It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Madeline Carol Givens of Balsam, North Carolina, who passed away on August 22, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, J. E. Henson and Florence Sexton Henson; and her sisters, Linda Williams and Catherine Stewart. She is survived by: her husband James Givens; her daughter Lynne Sheehan (Don) of Balsam; and her siblings, Jane Henson of Murphy, Kenny Henson (Wendy) of Murphy, Danny Henson (Amanda) of Blairsville, GA and James Henson (Pam) of Florida. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
