He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Miller and Alice Gray Miller; and his siblings, Wanda Jo Miller, Brenda Miller Owen and Charles Miller, Jr..
He is survived by: his daughter Kimberly Miller O'Shields; his son-in-law Justin O'Shields; his grandchildren, Hannah Holden, Andrew McMahon and Bentley O'Shields of Brevard, NC.; his sisters, Joyce Raines of Brevard, NC, Linda Hubbard of Walhalla, SC and Dorothy Rathbone; and his brother-in-law Sid Rathbone of Sylva, NC. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Asheville Mortuary Services, there is also a GoFundMe set up to help with end-of-life costs.
