It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice Lyons Boyette of Balsam Grove, North Carolina, who passed away on September 19, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Lyons and Martha Jordan Lyons; and her siblings, Gene Lyons and Lillie Leydon. She is survived by: her husband James Boyette; her children, April Johnson (Bill) and James Perry Boyette II; her grandchildren, Jennifer Peddicord (Eric), Jason Heim (Courtney), Jamie Boyette (Kim), Johnnie Boyette (Shelly), James Boyette, Michael Boyette and Brittany Boyette; her great grandchildren, Sydney Peddicord, McKenna Peddicord, Canon Heim, Kenley Heim, Emersyn Heim, Kylie Boyette, Justin Boyette, Kourtney Boyette, Kaitlyn Boyette and Jake Boyette; her sister Esther Douglas; her friends, Anna Bontrager and Georgianna Kratzert; her daughter-in-law Jackie Boyette; and her sister-in-law Mary Boyette. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
