It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Zella Ayers (Bakersville, North Carolina), who passed away on May 13, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nat Burleson and Lula Buchanan Burleson; her husband Jack J. Ayers; her daughter Janie Renee Ayers; and her sister Belle Grindstaff.
She is survived by: her grandson Justin C. Ayers; her children, Jaqueline Murdock (Dale), Kimberly Duvall (Tom) and Chris Ayers (Alisa); her grandchildren, Tyler Duvall (Caitlin), Tommy Duvall (Casey Parker), Michaela Murdock and Samuel Murdock; and her great grandchildren, Greyson Duvall, Skyler Duvall and Emery Brown.
