He was predeceased by: his parents, Wanda Hughes and Nathan Byrd; and his siblings, Margaret Ann Byrd and Dale Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Jane Byrd of Buladean; his daughters, Becky Hughes (Tommy) of Buladean and Michelle Byrd of Knoxville, TN; his siblings, Randy Hughes of Pennsylvania, Douglas Hughes of Maryland and Betty Clark of South Carolina; his grandchildren, Logan Byrd of Johnson City, TN, Lane Honeycutt of Kingsport, TN, Skylar Hughes of Spruce Pine, NC, Winter Basurto of Knoxville, TN, Landon Hughes of Buladean, Conatan Basurto of Knoxville, Haven Hughes of Buladean and Vay Scales of Knoxville; and his great grandchild Zeke Kimbrough.
