He is survived by: his wife Eloise Garland Staubitz; his children, Melissa Gortney (Randy) of Bakersville and Jeffrey Staubitz (Melissa) of Spruce Pine; his siblings, Janie Ferguson, Gloria Seal, Betty Wright, Francis Miller, Wallace Staubitz and Charles Staubitz; and his grandchildren, Jacob Gortney, Adam Gortney, Autumn Staubtiz, Ethan Staubtiz, Emily Staubitz and Cecilia Anderson. He is also survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
