She is survived by: her parent June Jarrett Burnette; her husband Richard Hughes; her children, Richard Hughes Jr (Christi) of Hendersonville, NC and Jill Suzanne Curcio (John) of Los Altos, CA; and her siblings, Rosie Silver (Doug) of Bakersville, David Burnette of Trinity, NC and Roger Burnette of Chesnee, SC..

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be sent to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
