She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles W. Garland and Mae Forbes Garland. She is survived by: her children, Sara Allen (Ron) of Bakersville, NC and Doug Garland (Ella) of Jonesborough, TN; her sister Helen Woody of Chapel Hill, NC; her grandchildren, Morgan and Erin Allen; her husband Fletcher Garland; and her siblings, Charlene Gouge, Mary Belle Gouge, Bobbie Garland and Brooks Garland.
