He is survived by: his daughter Suzanne Owens of Bakersville, NC; his sisters, Mary Anna Whitson, Lillie Byers and Jean Dale; his grandson Joseph Clayton Ledford; his great grandchild Locklin Todd Vance; his wife Nell Buchanan Young; his sister Francis Young; and his granddaughter Jennifer Ann Ledford.
