It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jean Willis (Bakersville, North Carolina), born in Spruce Pine, North Carolina, who passed away on January 11, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her sons, Chris and Michael; her husband James; and her siblings, Jo Ann Silver, Martha Gouge, Edward, Bruce and Bobby Holder.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Will Ayers of Charlotte, Malachi Willis (Jamie Willis) and Nikki Willis (Steven Thomas) of Bakersville; her great grandchildren, Oliver and Mia Willis of Bakersville; and her sisters-in-law, Kate Murdock of Hendersonville, NC, Sena Mae Gouge of Bakersville and Margaret Wilson of Bakersville. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
