He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred T. Boone and Lela Sparks Boone; his son Samuel Jess; and his siblings, Faye (Jim), Mary Lou (Howard), Helen (Frank), Mae (Frank Ray) and Harold (Mildred).
He is survived by: his son Kirk (Miranda); his wife Joyce; his grandchildren, Kyla, Abby Mae and John Henry; his sister Betty Jo Gordan; his brother-in-law Frank Ray Jarrett; his sister Janey; and his brother-in-law R. J. Thompson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
