He is survived by: his sons, Michael "Mike" Hughes (Sherry) of Bakersville, NC and Richard "Mark" Hughes (Angel) of Bakersville, NC; his siblings, Barbara Birchfield, George of Bakersville, NC and David Hughes of Bakersville, NC; his grandchildren, Michelle Hobson (Chris), Kimberly Hughes (Daniel), Matthew Hughes (Elisabeth) and Aaron Hughes (Faith); and his great grandchildren, Courtney Hughes, Addison Hobson, Chloe Hughes and Haizley Hughes.
