He was predeceased by: his mother Myrtle Edwards; his daughter Jenny Edwards; and his siblings, Kathy Bowers, Sallie Edwards, Diane Edwards, Wade Edwards, Jimmie Edwards and William Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Libby Sparks Edwards; his grandsons, Jayden Stevens and Hunter Briggs; his siblings, David Edwards (Vickie), Junior Edwards, Debbie Ricker and Sue Burleson (Dallas); his mother-in-law Naomi Phillips; and his close friends, Regina Jarrett and Garland Honeycutt. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McKinney Cove Baptist Church (1160 McKinney Cove Rd, Bakersville, NC 28705). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Fork Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.
