He was predeceased by: his parents, Milt Grindstaff and Bonnie Buchanan Grindstaff. He is survived by: his sister Kathleen Byrd of Bakersville, NC; his son Levi Morgan of Brevard, NC; his wife Bernice Grindstaff; and his brother Harold Grindstaff. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of The Blue Ridge, 236 Hospital Drive, Spruce Pine, NC 28777.
