It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Lane Pearce of Bailey, North Carolina, who passed away on October 12, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Roger departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Roger may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Roger leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger E. Pearce and Annette Moore Pearce; his wife Phyllis Carver Pearce; and his brother Michael Pearce. He is survived by: his niece Sarah Pearce Buss of Durham, NC; his nephew Michael Pearce (Marcus Perry) of Durham, NC; and his cousins, LuAnn M. Rivenbark (A. C.) of Wallace, Walda W. Eason of Wallace and Esther Murphy of Wilmington.
