He was predeceased by: his former wife Ernestine Godwin Etheridge; his daughter Cindy E. Howell; and his siblings, Margaret Hoard, Ruby Wells, Ethel Peele, Dorothy Webb, Barbara Ann Kelsey and Tommy Etheridge.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Pridgen Etheridge; his daughter Gail Etheridge Davis (Stanley) of Wilson; his grandchildren, Shanna Sanders Wood (Ricky), Blake Sanders, David Howell, Daniel Howell and Zachary Howell; his great grandchildren, Kaleb Wood, Silas Wood, Jarrah Wood, Alexi Sanders and Landen Sanders; and his stepchildren, Deborah Hackney (Gary) of Social Circle, Teresa Garman (David) of Forsythe, Georgia, Donna Gaddy (Jim) of Chipley and Todd Pridgen of Gulfport, Mississippi..
