He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Murray and Edith Ferrell Murray; his son Scotty Murray; his sister Sylvia Jones; and his great grandchild Michael Austin.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Creech Murray; his daughters, Crystal Murray of Bailey and Susie Austin (Ricky) of Bailey; his stepdaughter Tracy Woodard (David) of Smithfield; his son Marty Murray (Dale) of Bailey; his stepson Jeff Dale (Candace) of Pine Level; his brother Roger Murray (Hope) of Spring Hope; and his pet Brandi. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
