He was predeceased by: his son Larry Steven Finch; and his parents, Rev. John C. and Miriam "Tootsie" Finch. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Glover Finch; his daughters, Angie Stallings of Bailey and Carolyn Ellis (Wayne) of Middlesex; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Stallings, Dillon Stallings, Brittany Maddrey (Jordan), Jacob Ellington, Jana Ellington (Hunter) and Caiden Ellis; his great grandchildren, Levi, Scarlett, Larken, Laney and Harper Renee; and his brother Gordon Finch (Teresa) of Bailey.
