With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jewel Faye Liles of Bailey, North Carolina, who passed away on October 9, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Jewel had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Jewel may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her husband Billy Raeford Liles; her parents, William Ray and Layla Simpson Harrison; and her brothers, Donnahue Harrison, Billy Harrison and Jerry Harrison.
She is survived by: her sisters-in-law, Maxine High (Tony) and Joyce Harrison; and her close friend Caroline Matthews (Joey). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Shingleton Funeral Home (2413 Nash St NW, Wilson, NC 27894). A graveside service was held on Monday, October 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Bailey Town Cemetery (11499 S 581, Bailey, NC 27807).
