He was predeceased by: his wife Connie Bray Cooper; and his parents, J. B. Cooper and Lucille Cooper. He is survived by: his children, Lynne Cooper and Alan Cooper (Emily); his stepdaughters, Kelly Whitley Uzzle (Paul) and Beth Whitley Lamm (Joey); his sister Jennifer Ferrell (Don); and his close friends, Joe Hagwood and Ronnie Dew. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
