He was predeceased by: his daughter Melissa Brantley; his parents, Jesse Brantley and Hazel Brantley; and his siblings, Eloise B. Eason, Jesse Brantley, Jr. and Harvey Brantley.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Faye Deans Brantley; his son Jeffery Harold Brantley (Joy); his grandchildren, Misty Brooke Combs and Jacob Dean Brantley (Lindsey); his great grandchild Noah Monteith; and his brother Willie Jay Brantley.
