She was predeceased by: her parents, Hasten Rudd and Mabel Rudd; and her siblings, Robert Rudd, Joseph Rudd and Joanne Jordan.
She is survived by: her husband Richard E. Ackerman; her children, Beth Childs (Mark) of Burlington, NC, Brice Ackerman (Elisa) of Bahama, NC and Julie Hiatt (Charlie) of High Point, NC.; her grandchildren, Amanda, Grace (Lexie Childs), Gene (Will Ackerman) and Ridge (Ryder Hiatt); her great grandchild Parker Dale Penberthy; her brother Currie Hasten Rudd, Jr; her brother-in-law Larry Jordan; and her nieces and nephews, Wesley, Denise, Wayne, Christopher, Hasten, Robert, Joseph Jr, Virginia Sue, Sydney, Spencer, Jacob, Patrick, Luke, Abe, Conor, Tom and James.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church's Food and Clothing Pantry are encouraged.
