He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Charles Black, Sr. and Ida Kate Whiteside Black; his son Charles L. Black, Jr.; and his siblings, Sarah Murphy, Ruth Daily, Ozena Jones, Eddie Woods, Frankie Roman, Willie J. Black, Sr. and Lawrence Black, Jr..
He is survived by: his daughter April Lynn Black of Concord; and his siblings, Harriette B. Stafford of Concord, NC, Juanita B. Poole of Concord, NC and Henry Black (Mae C.) of Kannapolis, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
