He was predeceased by: his parents, David Gill and Evelyn Gill. He is survived by: his sons, Johnny David Gill of Badin, NC, James Harold Gill (Lydia) of Albemarle, NC and Paul Darrell Gill (Anne) of Saint Louis, Missouri.; his grandchildren, Matthew Gill, Madison Puckett (Jacob), Joshua Gill, Gabriel Gill, Samantha Gill, Lauren Gill, Joseph Gill and Luke Gill; his great grandchild Holland; his sister Margaret Dennin of LaPlata, MD; his nephews, Billy and Stephen Dennin; and his wife Barbara Elaine Gill.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care - Albemarle (1835 Badin Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001). A graveside service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at 2001 E Main St, Albemarle, NC 28001.
