He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Stafford Lipscomb and Thelma Forbes Lipscomb; his former wife Patricia Lipscomb; and his siblings, Jean Butcher, Howard S. "Buddy" Lipscomb, Jr. and Ronald Lipscomb.
He is survived by: his sons, Edward L. Lipscomb, Jr. (Katie) and David Lipscomb; his grandchildren, Trevor Lipscomb (Kaylie) of David, Lipscomb, Jr. and Abbey Lipscomb; and his girlfriend Janice Loy.
A reception was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory (2205 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215).
