She was predeceased by: her parents, William Eugene Wirt and Minnie Eva Eanes Wirt; her husband George William Barnes; and her brothers, James Wirt, Allen Wirt, Edward Wirt and Bob Wirt.
She is survived by: her sons, Daniel Evans Barnes (Kathleen), Paul David Barnes, Dwayne Eugene Barnes (Elaine) and Darell Scott Barnes (Michelle); her brother Donald Wirt (Wanda); and her sisters-in-law, Martha Shirley and Mary Harvey. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home (703 Virginia Ave, Clarksville, VA 23927). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home Chapel (703 Virginia Ave, Clarksville, VA 23927).
