She is survived by: her husband Jimmie Smith; her daughters, Susan Spell of Midlothian, VA, Michelle Ellis (Nathaniel) and Jeri Barnes of Wendell, NC; her grandchildren, Johnathan Barnes-Smith (Latashia) and Virget Ward II (Jamiliah); her great grandchildren, Nyla Barnes Smith, Jashell Ward and Jewel Ward; and her nieces, Carita Vandyck and Chena Williams (Radrecra).
