She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Clyde Massenburg and Francessa Alston Massenburg; her husband Frank David Brinkley; her daughters, Landa, Angela and Dafnie; her grandson Michael; her siblings, Selma Helms, Frances Parson and Clyde Massenburg, Jr. (Those); her children, Frankie Brinkley (Angelene) of Pinetops, NC, Julian Brinkley, Randy Brinkley (Vanessa) of Littleton, NC, Marvin Brinkley, Velma Jean Williams (Rodney) of Enfield, NC, Joyce Johnson (Leroy) of Rocky Mount, NC, Shirley Bennett of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Marcell Brinkley (Greg) of Rocky Mount, NC; her adoptive son Jasper Richardson (Jackie) of Richmond, VA; her daughter Nancy Young (Greg); her siblings, Doris Alston of Brooklyn, NY and James Massenburg (Betty) of Kinston, NC; her aunt Francine Baxter; and her siblings-in-law, Adella Burgess of Littleton, NC and Leroy Brinkley of Littleton, NC. She was also cherished by twenty-four grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.

Because of Covid-19, the wearing of masks, social distancing, and limiting the number of persons in attendance will be practiced.
