It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Van Calvin James (Ayden, North Carolina), who passed away on November 9, 2018, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Henry James and Myrtle Briley James; his wife Martha Louise Smith James; his children, Carolyn Ann James Stevey and Richard Earl James; and his siblings, Evelyn Dickerson of Washington and Bobby James of Ayden.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Van James of Grimesland and Janet Lee James Jones; and his son-in-law Bobby Earl Jones of Grimesland. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in Calvins Memory to Vidant Childrens Hospital in Greenville, NC.
