It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patricia Carraway Elks (Ayden, North Carolina), who passed away on April 25, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Linwood Gray Carraway and Ellen Geneva Grimsley Carraway; her significant other Darrell; her granddaughter Sailor Faith Caroline Tripp; her brother William "Bud" Carraway; her children, Tanya Tripp (Timmy) of Ayden, Julie Sutton (Roger) of Ayden and Christopher Elks (Kirsten) of Ayden; her grandchildren, Jordan Sutton Murphy (Chad), Samantha Elks, Walker Sutton, Ryan Elks, Gracie Wrenn Tripp, Emma Elks, Benjamin Elks, Isaac Elks, Mary Elks and John Elks; her great grandchild Sutton Murphy; her sisters, Bonnie Matthews (Roy) of Concord and Joyce Lee (David) of Smithfield; and her sister-in-law Brenda Carraway of Ormondsville. She was also cherished by her parents and husband.
