He was predeceased by: his parents, Butler Avery and Lossie Avery; his wife Katie Bell Avery; his son Tim Avery; and his siblings, Winnie Nelson, Ray and Pete Avery.
He is survived by: his daughter Michele Avery. He is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
Due to Covid-19, the family had decided to not accept visitors at the home.
