He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Whitaker and Hattie Williams Whitaker; his siblings, Maggie Fleming, Eva Bowser, Beaulah Daniels, Pat Williams, Tommie Whitaker, Clint Whitaker, Charlie Whitaker, William Whitaker and Money Whitaker; and his close friend Mary Watson.
He is survived by: his daughter Katara Whitaker; his grandchildren, Kayla Whitaker and Ja'Kaiden Whitaker; his sisters, Brenda Whitaker of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Hattie Fleming of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his nieces, Edith Robinson of Littleton, NC and Lakia Joyner of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his brother-in-law Edward Daniels of Roanoke Rapids, NC; and his close friends, Tony Richardson (Shelia) of Hollister, NC, Michael Webb of Roanoke Rapids, NC. and Jeff Boseman (Tracy) of Roanoke Rapids, NC.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Because of Covid-19, the wearing of masks, social distancing, and limiting the number of persons in attendance will be practiced.
