He is survived by: his daughter Shinika Johnston Shaw; his granddaughter Tre'Nika Shaw of Petersburg, VA; his brother Hulan Johnston, Sr. (Maxine) of Littleton, NC; his aunts and uncles, Jeremiah Wills (Elizabeth) of Littleton, NC, John Wills (Isabeller) of Littleton, NC, Delores Wills Cooper of Littleton, NC and Doris Johnston of Baltimore, MD; his nieces and nephews, LaRhonda A. Johnston of Orange, NJ, Shakinta J. Snow of Spotsylvania, VA, Persephone Johnston of Chester, VA, Quatisha Brannon of Newark, NJ, Hulan Johnston, Jr. of Littleton, NC, Jason and Eric Lee of Greensboro, NC; his cousins, Larry Thorne and Linda McRae of Roanoke Rapids, NC; and also Beverly Norman. He is also survived by other cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives.
Because of Covid-19, all CDC guidelines will be followed by the wearing of masks, social distancing, and limiting the number of persons in attendance.
