He was predeceased by: his son Tyler Ricks; and his grandparents, Floyd, Lorraine Best, Henry and Joyce Ricks.
He is survived by: his parents, W. H. Ricks and Debbie Ricks; his daughters, Lanie Ricks (Sully), Natalie Ricks and Kadence Ricks; his sister Karen Tharrington (Don); his nephews, Cody Dickens (Chloe) and Wyatt Tharrington; his aunt Becky Newton (Mike); his uncles, Keith Ricks (Mica) and Charles Best (Virginia); and his partner's children, Thomas Johnson and Zachary Carter.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Home (206 W 4th Ave, Franklin, VA 23851).
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3PM Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, VA and suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Lake Country SPCA, 11764 US 15, Clarksville, VA 23927 (434-374-8076).
