She was predeceased by: her parents, Janet Worden and John Worden; her aunt Jean Staub; and her former husband Doug Sjoerdsma. She is survived by: her husband C. W. Elton; her children, Eric and Jenna Sjoerdsma; her stepson Matt Elton; and her brother Thomas Worden.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Farmer Funeral Service (109 Second St, Ayden, NC 28513). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
