He was predeceased by: his parents, J. B. Oakley and Edna Oakley; and his brother Allen Oakley. He is survived by: his children, J. B. Oakley (Tiffany) of Ayden and Suzanne Adams (Josh) of Ahoskie; his grandchildren, Eli, Ava, Liza, Jed, Nora Oakley, Faith, Charlotte and Maggie Adams; and his brother James Beasley Oakley, Jr. (Darlene) of Black Jack.
