It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Ray Moore (Ayden, North Carolina), who passed away on June 7, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Ray Moore to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Jones Moore and Mary Elizabeth Skinner Moore; and his siblings, Wesley "Dick" Moore Jr. and Ada Ross. He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Mary Ann Letchworth (Harry) and Michael Ray Moore; and his great grandchildren, Carter Letchworth, Anna Letchworth, Hayden Moore and Lauren Letchworth.
Memorial contributions can be made to USCGC Ingham Memorial Museum in Memory of James Ray Moore, PO Box 186, Key West, Florida 33041. This is a Veteran run non-profit organization and any contribution will go to restore and maintain the Cutter where Mr. Jimmy served at sea for over two years during his service to the United States.
