It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Alan Murphy of Ayden, North Carolina, born in Richmond, Virginia, who passed away on October 19, 2022, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Charles Nelson Murphy, Sr.; and his grandparents, James, Selma Murphy, George and Blanche Knox.
He is survived by: his mother Kay Knox Murphy; and his siblings, Charles Murphy, Jr. (Cindy) of Wilson, Pamela Puryear (Dwayne) of Mt. Holly and Patrick Murphy (Mary) of Wilson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
