It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy McCotter-Grimsley (Ayden, North Carolina), who passed away on July 2, 2018, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, Pastor Danny Gardener Jr. of Ayden, NC, Stephanie McCotter of Ayden, NC and Tammy McCotter of Waldorf, MD; and her siblings, Curtis Dixon of Hampton, VA, Harvey "Swamp" Bell of Charlotte, NC, Clarence "Bud" Dixon of Ayden, NC and Alice Cannon of New York, NY. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
